Bro, life throws us some of those goofy things that we have to wade through. You can let it define you or you can deifne it and I would say you are going to define it. That's outstanding and some great toys to boot. Step into a new chapter in life, hold your head up and learn from the past. Moving forward is the goal now and man what a great move.

Ya I think it's different for everybody too and a lot of guys do get all hung up on women. We had so many issues and the day I found out she cheated I laughed and felt relief because I finally had an out and one that nobody would blame me for. :)

I did ask her when we were sitting in the bar if she was married and she told me "NO" ~ Sorry! Brother.

Sorry about the divorce, hope everything works out for the best. Nice set up! I got the G32, and G23 barrel and some mags. Got an old Gen2 G22, most reliable gun I ever had, even when I purposely limp wrist it, I still can't make it malfunction. It will eat up everything from 135 grain Corbons to 180 grain Eagles.:)

I find this thread intriguing….with several comments that would make for fascinating discussions over a beer.

Regardless, I think I'll sell my knives and go bang my beautiful wife…

How come Divorce costs so much?

Because it's worth it!

Glad you had some dough left after it all. Spent twice as much on lawyer getting a divorce than spent on the wedding! Drug out for almost two years. Funny thing is what I tried offering when we split is what the judge ordered. If she could have just been reasonable we both would have been better off.

Good to be out.
I could say ditto to pretty much everything you said. In Ohio if both partners agree, you can choose a "dissolution" where an agreement is reached between the 2 people and their lawyers, and the judge signs it. Because my ex got greedy, it took us 9 months to reach an agreement, which was what I offered her in the first place; so the only result of dragging it out was it cost both of us a lot more in lawyer fees. My only regret was not leaving sooner, but it is still good to be free.

BePrepared, congrats on your freedom and new toy!

my divorce was the second best thing to happen to me and led me where I am today. That being said, all milestones should be celebrated with new knives :D

Not a big a Busse fan, but the Glock does get my blood stirring!! congrats on your freedom....happiness starts with you my friend!!!

I think that anybody that sufferers through a bad marriage (male or female) should buy themselves an nice gift.

Usually by the time things get to that point any decent human being will need SOMETHING that puts a little bit of joy back into life again.

I feel so fortunate that my Wife and my girlfriends all get along really well. <~~~

Seriously Nice toys. Congrats. Enjoy them in good health!

Divorce got me to the love of my life Nancy, so yep the suck but in my case worth it :)

"You know why Divorces are so expensive ?

They're worth it !" :)

One of the great lines from the film Jarhead is "if soldiers were meant to have wives they would be issued them" ...:D

Regimental reunions now involve old Army tales and new Divorce ones ...

I quite like the TV series NCIS because Gibbs has had more divorces then me ... I am two for two and he is worse than me ...:D

Welcome to the club

We can pay a lot for "freedom" to be what we want to be ... but life is too short to live it as someone you're not ...

Congrats on the divorce and some nice toys! Mine was in 2007 and final on our anniversary:thumbup:!
I met a nice lady a couple years ago and when I found out she owned more guns than I did I knew she was the one....we got married last May.
