My dog...

I too feel your pain. Your post brought a tear to my eye remembering my Chesapeake Bay retriever That had to be put to sleep after she suffered a stroke. She was only 8 years young but always suffered with several ailments. She was my buddy always ready to play or go for a swim. After her stroke she was paralyzed from the neck down and my wife and I had to make a make-shift stretcher out of a bed sheet to carry her to the car so we could take her to the vet for the last time :( I cried for two weeks after losing my best buddy so I whole heartedly sympathize with your loss.

Sorry to hear about it. Losing a friend is never easy, no matter how many legs they have (or don't have). :(

DaQo'tah I feel your pain too. I don't know what I'll do when our Lucy comes to this place. She's as much a part of the family as our granddaughter is, and just as sweet. Our dogs give us so much and ask so little in return. Your friend had a good and long life. You won't replace her but you may eventually find another to share your life and shop. It took a lot of courage and love to do what you had to do.
