After alot of research on which grinder to invest in,I decided I liked the versatility of the Dozier. It's a very robust build & design!I just got off the horn talking with Bob Dozier about how you can adjust the pneumatic actuator for various results,This is a well thought machine!

I'm very pleased on the investment I made.:D

These really are a neat piece of machinery.

How do you switch out tooling for hollow grinding and small wheel attachments?

Thanks for posting, I hope to see some knives off of this thing soon :D

slick! It seems it would be fast without that vfd with such a large drive wheel. What are those wheels made of? looks like teflon. Nice purchase.

Nick,You change out the wheels on the belting arm.It will except up to a 14" contact wheel. Down to 1/2".I would like to try out a Bertie Reitveld urethane serrated wheel.Next purchase.;)

Fitzo, I'll see if I can find my contact info for Bertie. I ordered a 6" wheel from him about 3 years ago, for my modified surface grinder. Top quality, fast, good to work with.

Guys, I am pretty sure Bertie pulled out of wheel manufacturing, some time last year, but I do not have the thread handy.

ETA: Post #22: Bertie

According to Bertie's site, he stopped making the wheels in 2006. I was wondering if you had possibly discovered someone with a stash still available, Capricorn61. :)
There is another South African company making urethane wheels, Herbst, but except for the surface grinder wheel, they're all smooth. They do offer custom services, it appears.
I believe urethane wheels can be ordered from Contact Rubber Corp in the US, but it seems they're website's down.

Hey,I just remembered John Lablanc (JL grinders) makes urethane wheels that look very close to Bertie's wheels.:D

Allred custom knives is John's go to site.

I'll call them.
