My Dream Knife's Specs. What About Yours?

for a folder, I want a Neil Blackwood S30V 3.5inch neck-ninja blade in hand rubbed satin (since Neil won't do it anymore) mated with a titanium framelock made by Mike Obie with black rayskin inserts.

The largest of the 3 "trademark" holes on the neck ninja blade should be as large as a spydie hole, to function as a thumb opening hole.

Its got a neck ninja blade in satin S30V, plunge grind, recurve, titanium framelock, rayskin and mike obie's tight tolerances and fit n finish. that's my folder....:D

A S30V Calypso Jr.-old shape of blade, with Titanium or black micarta handles.

A large Bowie with ~11" blade, 1.75" wide, and .25" thick with a full flat grind, convex edge, and full tang incl hammertail in S30V or S3V. It will have an unobtrusive guard and micarta scales similar to the Yarbourogh. The concealex shoulderblade sheath (just for grins) and a superb high ride side sheath with pouch will also have to be custom made, obviously.

Right now, I am looking at this with great interest. It's by Allen Elishewitz.

If you want a care free handle material, G-10 is the way to go. Almost all of my production folders are G-10 slabbed, and I've never had a problem.
I use brake cleaner (cheaper than gun scrubber, and basically the same stuff) to clean my knives, and the cleaner doesn't affect the G-10, with the exception of a white residue left behind, and it easily rubs off. Brake cleaner on Zytel, or most other thermoplastics will melt them away.

I personally wouldn't compare a Zytel handled knife with my Glock or Taurus frame; the guns feel much better in the hand than Zytel ever will.

Whatever floats your boat, I guess..............
