My EDC and some theories on what, why and how

Good thread, my EDC includes my wallet (cards and cash) a pocket comb (I have long hair) and a Kershaw Leek. Along with my keys which have a p38 can opener, and a bottle opener. I also always carry a Space Pen, I have had the same one for the last five years and as such am pretty protective of it. I used to carry a Zippo, but got tired of filling it with gas every week. I am thinking of getting a peanut lighter to go on the key chain as well. Once the HEST Folder comes out it will replace the Kershaw. BTW, my cell is in the same pocket as the Space Pen, Verizon has coverage just about everywhere and is a pretty good survival tool in itself.

I think you'd (everyone may) really enjoy www.edcforums.com
It's worldwide, and filled with lots of wonderful folks that are helpful too.

oh yeah...and because we are HUGE on pics there...it's also very dangerous to your credit card balances. lol!

thanks everybody for all the help and tips, I love hearing other people's ideas and suggestions you always learn something for them.

I have not tried out that Peanut lighter, maybe I will have to take another look at it. Any way you could post up a pic with something to compare it to like a mini bic or something, thanks.

I have not tried the Rambler SAK it looks like it could be usefull plus with the addition of the phillips I could use it for glasses and such as well. Ill look into it.

fixer I knew there had to be some kind of back story to that bandanna thing and at least it wasn't like what Charlie Daniels experienced.

Oh and as far as the bandanna is concerned it is actually one of my least used pieces of EDC. But like I said I carry the same everywhere I go so this last weekend I was out camping and had to grab a hot pot so I reached for the bandanna. It works great as a improvised bandage as well as a sweat band and something to keep the sun or mosquito's of your neck, it also works great as a dust mask. These are just the uses that I can think of off of the top of my head too, the uses are endless.

It also sounds like a lot of people are carrying a lot of the same types of equipment for the same reasons. Its neat to see so many of us from different backgrounds, locations, and lifestyles all gravitating to the same things for the same reasons.

i'm not familiar with that story. care to fill me in or post a link?

i think i *may* actually "know" CD on another forum... at least there's a rumor that he's there but nobody knows what his handle is.... well, the ones that do know ain't talking.

my EDC is my wallet, which has some bandaids in it, other than that typical wallet stuff except no maxed out credit cards. house keys, truck keys (on separate rings) Nite Eyes mini S biner, AA powered LED light (generic cheapie, saving for a Fenix), Photon Micro lights, BSA hotspark fero rod, Leatherman micra, ZT 0200, Leatherman Sideclip (broke one, looking for another, or a slim multitool with a pocket clip to replace it) cheap Samsung phone, my new glasses once i get them, Luminiox watch with titanium case and band, sapphire crystal) Frequent Flyer belt from The Wilderness, Glock 19 in Threat Solutions UCR holster, spare mag.

paper towels in cold season because i like disposable snot rags. usually also throw a Power Bar or granola bar in a pocket for low blood sugar.

Please excuse my current EDC blade :p

My first RAT/ESEE product should be arriving in the mail tomorrow!
I can't wait for my Izula to arrive!!! :D

Anyway, I hope these pics help. I really do find the peanut lighter to be convenient, especially since it is so small.

The lighter part can also be removed so that you have a waterproof pill case
or whatever you want.

This particular one is stainless and can be had for a mere 5 USD plus shipping from the UK.

I would recommend it.

here you go fixer Uneasy Rider 88'

Fuz thanks for the shots of the peanut lighter. No need to excuse the EDC blade its all about use and thought process around here and not who's blade you carry. Anyways that looks like a nice blade.

Thanks Don you do have a lot of interesting and useful info on your site.

If I ever overcome my distress at re-learning a few things, perhaps I will even update it in October! :D
