I made this from O1 tool steel. It has O1 bolsters with stainless pins. The handle is homemade micarta from my old work pants also with stainless pins. OAL is 5".

I was wondering if making the bolsters from O1 was a no no or is that not that unusual? It was all i had at the time.

I found a video on youtube of a guy making some. its not that hard and if your carefull its not that messy.

fiberglass resin from walmart. very important. only use half the hardner that it calls for. i missed that in the video the first time i tried it.

Great looking knife. I think one reason people don't use more tool steel for bolsters in the added difficulty in machining it.

But if you think about integrals, that is exactly what they are. Integral Sub hilt, integral forged knives are all blade steel.

I need to make some of my own mycarta. I have a couple pieces of material I want to try. Dark Grey herringbone wool pattern I think would look awesome.

jbblount -- awesome looking little EDC. I'll bet you could sell a bunch of those! What do you have for a sheath?

Thanks for the kind words. This is only the 6th knife I've made. And the 2nd with bolsters. I just started making them in May of this year.
Really hated to here about Bob.

Here is a pic of the sheath I made for it.
I'm a lefty

Great job on this. Keep it up. Your work looks very clean and concise.

Excellent! I really like the looks of that knife.

thanks for all the comments. i don't have any idea how to price one. open to suggestions. i've mostly given them away to friends and family.

material + labor = cost.
cost + 10% to 15% = selling price.
i would start at ten percent and get your name out there.

of course you could all ways do give-aways..
just be sure to send one my way.
