My edge won't get sharp!

Little confused here, as I went from a Worksharp to a full size 1x42 Kalamazoo. Why go the other way around? Seems like a downgrade given the longevity of the belts and the speed as well, unless you plan to raid other people's kitchens for things to sharpen, which I've done on occasion:D.

The 1x30 that I had was giving me problems so I got a replacement, then another replacement, then another few replacemnts. After the last 3 gave me the same issue (too little tension on the belt, the track was too small) I determined that when the packaging changed they also changed tolerances. It made me really sad, but I don't have nearly $100 to dump into a sander. I sold my belts off for most of what Ipaid ffor them, and am now moving on.

Got the Work sharp and used it. My edges are hideous, but great googly moogly they are sharp! I'm sure they will get better as I become more familiar with the sharpener they will look better and be even sharper. I am pretty happy with my purchase.
