So I guess I'm officially "collecting" Emersons now.
I have 1 Sebenza, 1 Umnumzaan, and love them both, but have no plans for more CRK's, as they have no other models that appeal to me. I have 2 Benchmades, and a couple of Spydies, none of which get carried anymore. I just unloaded all of my ZT's except one, to fund two new Emersons; an Iron Dragon, and a Specwar. I also have a variety of other knives, but only one or two from any given company. I now have 8 Emersons, and a Protech auto CQC-7. Never had that many of one brand of knife before. The only knives I'm interested in buying right now are Emersons.
I even bought a custom Crawford Falcon yesterday (my first custom) because I stumbled on to a good deal, and it reminds me of an Emerson in some ways: full ti liners/liner lock, micarta handle scales, titanium back spacer, thumb disk opener, 3.8 inch recurve blade, with a thumb ramp that is very similar to a non waved Emerson. It even has an Emerson style ti pocket clip.
But I digress. My point is I have never had this much enthusiasm for a single brand before.
I've got a fever, and, the only cure... is more Emerson. (Spoken in a Christopher Walken voice)
