My beautiful ESEE-4 just arrived! I couldn't help myself and made some custom cocobolo grips. I also added a YouTube video.

Wow! Those really are nice scales. (And I agree with gundude73 that it's a nice combo.)

How do you get the scales to fit so perfectly without scratching the powdercoat on the tang?

Good work! Looks nice!
How does it feel/grip? (...Looks like it could be a bit slippery, esp if moist/sweaty....)

The knife looks really, really good! I like the way you extended the scales so they covered the lanyard hole, and drilled the hole out, looks great!

sweet! now make one in orange g10 and i'll be your first customer!

Damn dude! You've inspired me to try that for myself =)

I'm gonna go out and pick up some maple burl!

Hi MArathonman -

Well done - the scales and the video.

The wood scales make your ESEE look classy.

Thanks for the pictures and the video.

best regards -

That is a beautiful blade, great job. I bet it would great as well shaped like the factory scales with the lanyard hole exposed.

Lovely mod. I'm looking at my RC-4 and having thoughts about curly birch now I've seen yours! Thanks for sharing.
