Thanks for the well wishes, Kis
I had to have a dry socket repacked yesterday afternoon. That was...fun. I went in because my bottom right jaw went from a pain level of 3 or 4 to 6 or 7 at night and the pain meds didn't even touch it. So they set me down and made me wait. Then they irrigated the socket with warm water...that hurt like hell. Then they shoved a piece of dark brown cloth in hole that tasted like it was soaked in gasoline and dirt...it also hurt like hell.
I got home and not only has the packing come loose enough that I have a piece of that nasty cotton CONSTANTLY rubbing against my tongue but the packing from my upper left is now hanging down as well. Because of the packing, everything tastes like a sock. Can you believe that all of this fun only cost me a measly $2000?
But, I can't complain. My wife made me some chocolate pudding so I would have something cold to eat when I got home. My daughter shared it with me and ate most of it, but we had a good time, and that made my face feel better

Of course, that's what she asked for for breakfast this morning. We had a one side discussion on why that wasn't happening and she negotiated herself some pancakes instead. She'll make a hellova lawyer one day, I think.
Thanks for the well wishes everyone

I'm OK. Just grouchy and would SO love a great big burger right now. Like a Black and Blu Burger from Buffalo Wild Wings with a side of celery and blue cheese and a tall Sam Adams would be just great. I don't care if it's only 9:30am here right now

Oh well, I'll just enjoy my Instant Breakfast and Pureed Veggie/Fruit Shakes
