Hey Ron
I am so sorry to hear of your loss. But understand your father would not want you sad at his death. 86 is a life wll lived..and over the years that I have come to know you if your kindess and spririt are anything like your father he has a lot to be proud of. Knowing you I know that your father was a wonderful man and someday you will be reunited in a place where there is no pain, sickness, or old age. The best to you my friend and your wife in this tough and sad time..

love and light from the great white north.

Losing parents is the hardest. Look on the funeral as closure and work onwards and upwards from there.

Condolences to all your family.

Ron,

I apologize for being so late in seeing this.

I know your dad left some great things behind. You and yours are in my thoughts and prayers.

Gus

I apologize as well for the late reply...my condolences and prayers for you and your family.

He may gone from this Earth, but he will all ways be in your heart. Prayers sent.

Thanks, everyone for the kind expressions of sympathy and support. BF is really a wonderful community.

As an update, we buried my father yesterday. There was a USMC honor guard and they presented me with the flag. I just ordered a case for it.

My mother-in-law is not as fortunate. She is still in the hospital lingering with advanced stage Parkinsons disease. She can't swallow and refuses a feeding tube. Her blood O2 level is 80. Its just a matter of time now, but it could be hours, days, weeks or months. The docs don't really know. She was always a strong, vibrant woman and it is hard to see her like this.

Anyway, thanks again to all of you, it is much appreciated.
