I just got my Spring 2010 copy of BLADE tonight when I got home from work and was disappointed to see that it was mostly a list of makers with few articles and little else. As I was flipping pages an extremely familiar images made my eyes pop. It was my knife, the one in my avatar on page 116! I am now the proud owner of at least three customs that have been published. The first was Ken Steigerwalt's first BLADE show winner and the second was an H.H. Frank folder I just recently acquired.

It's always exciting and a great surprise to open a magazine or book and see one of your knives. Congratulations to you.

A little confused though, as you said Spring 2010? Don't they go by months?

It actually says spring 2010 on the cover.. weird. The "Stoned Walrus" is in there too!

I also get excited when a photo appears in a mag/book (but who doesn't?). Makes collecting exciting, for sure! The trick is, just have lots of photos taken.... :)

Congrats to you!

It's always fun to see one of your own knives published. Congrats and enjoy! Now I have to figure out this whole "Spring 2010" deal.

Yup, I think it is just a special issue. I was gonna order a cut-n-shoot from ya Bruce, until I saw the price range. I guess my $19.95 available funds won't get me very far.

If ya ever make a cut-n-shoot that is like the old "zip-guns" with the barrel made from an old radio antennae and the blade is from a worn out Ginzu, please let me know. I would love to have one, if...... "The Price Is Right". ($19.95 plus shipping and handling):D:D

Glad to see you made this special issue. Your stuff is always "Amazing".

Thanks much Robert.
I heard some inmates talking about how to make a bic lighter filled with matchheads. How about one of those? :D

Got my copy in the mail yesterday and as I expected it's the first Blade Magazine annual "Complete Knife Guide", rather than being this's months issue.

Looks like Blade subscribers got an un-expected Xmas present.

Good information/articles and looks to be a very good 59 page knifemaker/industry directory.
