My favorite folder...what's yours?

My favorite so far is still the DarkStar.

but, I also like the newer Mini Stryker, and the Dejavoo Models. I've taken to the Benchmades, but haven't really done all that well with the Kershaw. I'm looking forward to trying out a Para Military 2, it meets all of my requirements. It's simple, liner lock, quality blade (S30V), light enough, and it's made in America (most important to me). It is kind of ugly to me, but the function looks like it might be worth it. I'll be ordering one in a week or so, along with another Benchmade of course.

EDIT: Damn! I just noticed that the Para Military doesn't have a liner lock....

DBAR

dont worry, it not having a liner lock is a better thing. the compression lock was my favorite aspect of the para2.
its actually quite similar in the way it locks to a axis lock. and seems stronger too.
also, its position on top, similar to the axis lock.

doh! those BM you have arent axis locks LoL.

You noticed one of the things about that knife that I like so much. I have gotten so accustomed to the liner locks, and the tip down direction of the clip, that nothing else really feels right to me. I won't carry a knife that is "tip up", and I prefer a liner or frame lock. I'm trying to tell my self to go with the compression lock, and I may do so after actually holding one, which is what I plan to do tommorrow. I really could not get along with the older back locks of Spydercos', so this may be a pretty good challenge for me.

Non-EDC I would say my Scott Cook Lochsa

Such an abomination!! You don't know what you are missing by not using that Lochsa, the way it should be!
I get such joy using my Lochsa,

It has very very quickly become my favorite folder, second to NONE!
The sad thing is I have lost interest in most other knives since this one is the "one"
If only I could secure an extra....hmmmm

I just received my new favorite knife, yesterday. Here's a shoot of my new Hinderer XM-24, with my XM-18 for size comparison.

Folding Izula. When (hopefully not if).

I will wait.

I will possess it.

And it will burn on my funeral ship with me!

My favorites have always been the Millie or the Ares as a close second. Just received a SERE from a fellow forum-goer and might be reconsidering. How did I go this long without one? It just feels right.

When I'm home and I need to do some serious cutting I grab a Para-Military2. My EDC is an old Endura3.
