My first 2-blade and a milestone.

Nice work Jared ! I like it that you have retained the crisp look without looking "blocky",
by the pic you can tell its clean and still has the necessary roundness for hand and pocket.
Ken.

Jared, That's one nice looking WT (my favorite pattern). Your swedging and nicks are nice and crisp. I really like the layered covers. Nice stuff!

I wanted to share this here as well since I know a lot of you don't go to the knifemaker gallery.

This is my first two blade slip joint and my 11th slip joint to date. It is a milestone for me because it marks my first year making knives. I completed my first knife, a fixed blade, back in the end of August 2011. It was supposed to end up like my Uinta Bushcraft model but needless to say it fell a little short. I feel that I have made some progress over this year and hope the next one is just as good.

This is patterned after the Tony Bose Wharncliffe Trapper. It measures a little over 3 1/2" closed and is made with CPM 154CM. Handles are lightning strike carbon fiber over orange g-10 and earth brown g-10.

This knife is not for sale.

Thanks for looking!

Beautiful. :)

That is absolutely beautiful, well done! Now I know this one isn't for sale, but whereabouts would the price be for something like this?

Congrats, Jared, your work looks very clean and pleasing to the eye. No doubt it functions as well as it looks.

What a great knife! The two blade shapes are fine looking and very useable.

But the most beautiful on this one are the handles. They look somekind futuristic stuff.

Future meets the Past in the Present. :)

Kind regards
Andi

"I feel that I have made some progress over this year and hope the next one is just as good."

Understatement of the century. Here's to the next seventeen knives I buy, which hopefully will all have Jared's name on it!

Thank you kindly everyone. I am truly humbled especially coming from knife makers that have been huge inspirations to me and have helped pave the way.

And yes Jeff, I'm sure it's not for sale. I have kept three of my own knives; the first I ever made, my first slip joint and now my first 2-blade. :D;)

Jared,
As I said in my email to you this is an excellent first attempt at a 2-bladed traditional folder.
Wonderfully crisp grinds, tremendous combination of old and new!
Keep it goin' Bro...
Jeff
