My First 532 !

Here are my thoughts on this subject.

Many special order knives are placed with Buck. Say I order 500 gold etch knives and work out the contract that I only take them in 100 knife shipments as needed. I make sure that my contract allows me 3-4 years to complete the order. It may take me a few years to take all 500 knives ordered.

Perhaps I want to keep things interesting in my 500 SP knives and as the years change I ask to have the art work updated to reflect the current year that these SP knives are made;). This way if it takes me 3-4 years to complete my SP contract order...it also may have made a collectors dream, or nightmare as now my SP knife has 3-4+ unique variations...and it may take the collectors years to figure this out...but, that is the fun of collecting...right.

It would be nice if Joe or CJ could respond to the questions you fellahs have brought to light here.

one must remember this is not the Acme order
this is a BCCI custom.. kinda like a slimmed down 112?

Fellow Bucknuts...I have put it back into the vault along with my special display only 112s... It did ride on my belt for 2-3 hours tho! I really cant see using something that special even as a DUC....with a item like that I feel like I am a conservetor of Buck history....After I leave this ol earth my son/heirs will be responsible for preserving that one peice of Buck history but untill then I will carefully keep it pristeen and undamaged...Of all the Bucks I own only 2 now see limited use as a dressup/show-off,proudly carryed not abused status....Last years club 111 [my first club knife] and a verry, verry, verry special Ivory slabed scrimshawed [my stage name Cotton Mouth,a harmoncia, and KathyJo ] 112 that Dave made for me several years ago befor I even started collecting knives..I only strap that one on when we play a big stage and it dosent get used period..All the rest of the time I carry a beater/user....I know Im not the first to use the term DUC [dress up carry] but I feel thats what many on this forum do...If you are not purely a investor its one great way to enjoy and share your love of Buck knives...probely most custom shop 110s fall into this catorgy but not Dave Yellorhorse 110s.. Now that this ones in the valut Ill have to find another 532 to edc, I REALLY like the way it fits my hand !

they make great users!!! and edc...
again for a pocket carry ya could not ask for much better!
some what small for a construction site knife..

good way to put it... means they trust ya...
hay some one was going to get it ...
why not you..
take care of it ...:D ;)

Well, this really is one special Buck! It is a 'art proof' or a protype of the 1993 BCCI club knife..And as far as I know [and Tin Sue] its the only one outside of Buck...Its the corner stone of my new, just started, 532 collection. I'm lucky to start with such a nice peice of Buck history...All I need now is the password for the seceret 532 collectors club...No camera yet but trust me its real....I dont see why I cant display this one along with any other rare/odd Bucks I manage to come by when I first display my 112 collection.I am proud to have it.I'm just wondering what other Buck model is going to get me next....I have a pigsticker, and really like the 'Nighthawk' but the 500 series is a great one too..BUCK FEVER!!!!!!!!!11111111

oh no another one hooked ...
next he will be wanting custom 532's also!
humm... why not...
now all we need is custom slippies!
then we have all bases covered..
