Russ, Wow! I did not even know there was a blonde ironwood? that makes sense as the ironwood on this beauty is a bit lighter than other ironwoods I have owned.

In bright light it almost looks like it could be amboyna wood.

This post also corroborates a statement and finding I've long had:

When a piece is SOLD it provides value back to (3) parties: The seller, the new owner, and the maker.

Win/win/win.

Suffice to say that you went straight up to the 10 meter platform for your first dive into the forged blade pool. After picking up a Andrews/Long combo like that, I hope you have enough money for your future purchases so that the experience won't be anticlimactic.
