So I kicked my rear in gear, and stopped hiding behind a lack of cool tools. Below are my first two that are close to done. Both HT'd in a 2-brick with MAPP gas, temp monitored with Tempilstiks.

The white one is the first, O1 that I "accidentally" HT'd well enough for me to use as a pencil sharpener and general utility in the shop. file tests between 60-65RC. Cow bone stolen from my dog, stainless tube, and black liners. The coin is a US Dollar, for scale.

The second is a rusty file from my grandfather's shed, with black paper micarta, copper pins and liners. It file tests between 55-60RC.

Always open to advice.

Great looking knives. Nice choice of materials. I have done brass spacers and really likes how it feels. Beefy.

I don't know why exactly, but I'm really digging the white one. Its very, very unique in blade and overall design/shape. The black one is very sleek and the copper liners add a lot to the overall look.
