I had some antlers in the cabinet for years, but I didn't have enough courage to touch them. My nephew (15 years old) wanted to have one of my knives to keep, he visited a week ago and I promised him that I'll make one... Today this is finished and tomorrow I'll ship it to him. What do you think,

Specs: RWL34 - 59-60 RC
2000X satin finish
Fallow Deer handle with 303 SS guard
Water Buffalo Sheath...
Blade: 95mm Handle: 130 mm
Thickness at ricasso: 2.3mm

Good lookin little knife. The only thing I would change is to have a thinner guard maybe only an1/8" thick witha black spacer behind it. the thick guard kinda stops the flow of that thin knife.Sharp looking work though.

i like it alot too....but i would also agree about having a thinner guard....i think it would balance the looks of it more....otherwise great knife and i'm sure he'll love carrying it....ryan

I think that the knife is really nice and the sheath is even better and that when your nephew falls out of the tree stand and gores himself on the handle you will wish that you had rounded the end of it.

Thanks friends for the replies, I guess youre right about the guard shape. I thought the same thing after I saw the pictures, in hand it didn't bother me...

Oh, nice point. I will do it first thing in the morning... Though I didnt make a belt carry for the sheath only for that reason
but if it is in a pocket it would do a great damage. Thanks Sir for the suggestion, it was just in time....

Extremely nice! I not sure I agree with the others about the guard it gives good division between the two materials but, what do I know  I am still new in all this! :D
