I just got this in the mail and I couldn't wait to share the hoggish excitement, I can't wait to get the rest of the blades I have ordered:D.
This knife is amazing, I thought it was going to be smaller but it is definitely a beast, I love it. If I could only get to the mountains to play with it! Oh well, I'll just admire it in the meantime, I'm totally stoked. This is a bad a** knife for sure, I can't believe I have it in my possession, I thought I would never get one.
The pic sucks but it's raining outside so the garage is the only option.

Congrats man, my first Busse was a battle grade ASH-1 as well. Love it and it spawned many many more.
 
Great blade mate...!!!! I have a Black Canvas on Tanker at home as well (not mine just minding it) and I almost regret not getting that combo myself..!
 
I thought it never rains in southern California! Welcome to the ASH madness, but remember - you must stipulate in your will that it's to be eventually shipped to Andy...;-)
 
And, I still remember the excitement of opening the package on my first Busse. A nicely worn Skinny ASH1 with Black and Tan G10's. Enjoy the collecting. Sure you will go for more...;-)

Thanks guys! Yeah, it is a cool color combination, there is another one left in the ad here in BF, a sage with tan I think; I almost bought the other one instead. Man, this is a heavy duty blade.

Yes, it has been raining on and off for the last couple of days, and it is getting cold around here, well, cold for my bones; I bet some of you guys live in places where I would freeze, but I like the cold weather rather than the heat.

Thanks for the posts, you guys make me laugh. Oh, I forgot, this is the first one I actually have but when I first checked this forum out, I went and ordered a Rodent 6 because Busse Combat had none in stock; then I went to the main site and signed up for the email newsletter, and a couple of weeks ago I ordered two SFNO and an AMS, so technically my first would be the Rodent 6, but this BGASH arrived today, the others I'm still waiting for.
I will consider this my first, which it is.
I feel like a dog with a t-bone steak!:p
 
I forgot to ask you guys, this blade is 0.262" in front of the handle, is this a skinny? Not skinny in my mind, 6.6 mm is quite thick.

Thats the color combo I would have ordered (still kicking myself) ..My BGAD and BG Team Gemini are coming in this color combo..(still wish I ordered the ASH)

Nice knife! I can't wait until my BG ASH1 arrives. It was suppose to ship today!! Mine is Muddy/Tan canvas.

What sheath are you going with?
 
.26 is definitely not a skinny-LE or regular version has a width of .22-skinny is around ,187 or so, Andy is the Ash-1 expert, but at .26 it is between a regular ash .22 and fatty-congrats

That is a cool color combo too, I think the one left in the ad is that color.. I haven't thought about sheaths yet, what do you think? I am new to fixed blades like this, so any suggestions would be appreciated. I would think something made of leather so the finish stays nice, but I have no idea how durable is the finish or if it scratches easily; I really don't think I will use it much, but it would be nice to have a sheath for it, in fact for all the ones that are coming soon too.
 
Yep the BG ASH1s are right between the LE and Fatty in size.

There are a few size variations (.18 .20 .22 .25ish (BGs) .27 (only one I know of) and .32s) I love the size of the BG ASH1s !!!

Wow, that is a lot of variations, I guess that makes them even more collectable, thanks for the info Andy!

I wanted leather. I ordered this one in the same color as the pic. But, my ASH is muddy/tan and I thought the contrast would look good. Skystorm helped me figure out witch sheath would work best for what I wanted. I can't wait for both parts to come together.
