MY FIRST BABY and it’s a ….RAT RC-6!!!!!!

Way to go CD, Congrats. I came home from work last Thursday and found a box waiting for me. My first RAT was inside and begging to be released. I am sooo impressed with my new RC-6 that I'm already planning my next order. These things should be classified as machetes.

For real! this is just such a fine blade, didnt it just sink right into your palm? i dont know the size of your hands but it fit my larger hands like it was meant to!
I was shaving some fatwood up with it yesterday. My dad was using the RC-3 and was like "try the smaller blade it will get better shaving for ya" so i did and well it got dandy shaving but no better than the RC-6 so i offered the 6 to my dad and told him to try it.... he was very impressed with the way such a large blade handled on smaller cutting chores.
i live this knife. i just wish i had a job that required me to carry such a blade daily.

Mine doesn't require me to do so, but at least I'm allowed to! It's one hell of a knife and fits my hands quite nicely even though I've got small mitts. :D

Feel lucky to be able to have a knife of such length at work, if i attemped to carry mine, well... i would be meeting up with bubba in county minus my badass knife.:thumbdn:

I carry a 12 inch and 10 inch and six inch knives all day at work and no one even says a word about it. :D

Well it helps to work at a knife store. But I have it tucked in the back of my pack so only the handle is sticking out a little. Even if I was out and about people are more likely to notice my RC-3 on my shoulder strap than my 6. :)

I think i have said this before in a different post but i'll restate it; I get crazy looks for the RC-3 im testing out already. The way people seem to be taken aback by a fixed blade is kind of a strange state to live amongst. I do understand the rational others have displayed though, It would be nice for a change to just encounter someone on the street with the same appreciation for a well designed tool. Or just someone that understood the need for a blade of such nature in everyday life, I just live in the wrong area for myself and tools to fit in.Until i get someone out of a jam with my tools again, that is.:D:D

I'll walk around downtown Bar Harbor with my RC-3 at the small of my back. Maybe a few odd looks, but most folks either don't notice or don't care. We're all practical folks up here. ;)
