Hey all! I just got my first batch of knives done this week. They are .187" cpm d2 hardened @61rc, black oxide finish. I plan on making more within the next month or so. My next ones will be made out of .25" 52100. Let me know what you think of the designs and material selection. At the moment I'm not sure on how hard to push the 52100. Any advice is much appreciated! These are NOT for sale through BF. I will buy a membership when I've reached the point to sell to you guys and gals. I don't feel my work is up to some of you knife nuts expectations. The big one with g-10 was my first attempt at making scales, so it might be kinda crappy :) thanks for looking.

Cool knives, thanks for sharing! I really like the color combination of the black oxide finish and the OD green paracord, nice touch.

Not my style, but they look neat... My suggestion would be to stretch your creative side.

Not for nothing but if you spent the time it took to make a "batch" on just one knife, it would have been a very nice knife.. ;)

What are your goals with knifemaking? Are you shooting for turning out a lot of similar blades or are you wanting to work your way up to knock out one-offs??

Those look pretty nice!. Skeletonized pieces like that are always good to put out as "users" to begin with so you can practice your grinds without a huge investment in finishing. I like the thumb ramp and hole pattern.

My goal is... well I don't know haha. I find making knives fun and a good change of pace for me. I'd ideally like to make lots of blades that I will constantly produce (production blades) while working in my own one off pieces. One thing I'm doin is keeping a big knife from every batch I do, so I can personally test the steels. Same grinds and geometry, so its a great platform for me to do my own research. I know they wouldn't float everybody's boat, but I appreciate the coments :)

Nah, was just curious. I do the same thing, kinda... I have ones I reproduce, and others I do one off. Just haven't done any of the simpler ones in a while...

I was just hoping you will push yourself beyond the simple and attempt the extraordinary... Completion of a detailed and complicated piece is the greatest way to achieve a sense of personal satisfaction.

I'm always pushing myself, and learning from each knife I make. the big ones are actually the 3rd design change, i have pics of the first design all compleated.( I used .25" A2 @59rc) and the little ones are first design. I'm always trying to improve my capabilities, and try new things. I have 5 little ones to put scales on, hopefully I learn something from each set. But I'm always planning on new designs and material uses.
