My first batch!

Chris,
those are amazing! both the knives and the pocket sheaths, love the rustic look of the blade steel!

Do you think you'd be willing to ship overseas (not free of course!) when you make your next batch (esp the wharncliffe that you just know you'll have to make ;-) )
I'll ask Gnarly and Tower2 to keep nagging me on this one because I usually shy away from all the best deals in the last moment :((( this must not happen here

greg

Red Mallee is beautiful! Sveqs, I ship overseas, no problem. I profiled out a wharnie but didnt like it. The tip was too pointy and I was afraid it woud break. Im gonna put handles on it and carry it for awhile to see how it holds up.

tower2 & I will derive great pleasure from nagging sveqs, both here & over on EDCForums!

And: we'll recruit Biker Trash, another excellent nagger, from Wisconsin.

Meanwhile, please round off the point just slightly,KFU,and launch the Wharnies!

As my Dad useta say:

'Don't worry about the mule going blind, boys; just load the wagon!'

Alright Gnarly, Im going to put you on the spot! Email me a rough sketch and Ill add or take away from there, stay on him guys to draw one up.

Excellent, thanks KFU!
Indeed, make it a sheepsfoot! I always call them wharncliffs but I, too, meant the utility geometry, not the Klingon fighting tool

I'll be a good nagger.

Alrighty then, the KFU Gnarly Wharnie! Also known as the Wharly. Or Gnarnie.
I foresee mutual nagging here :D

What? Introducing knifemaker to the stars...Mr Bill Akers! Seriously, this dude makes some serious knives guys. Check him out. He taught me everything I know.

Gnarly can't draw. :(

Nice to see bacustomknives (Bill Akers) here....and he did a fine job, teaching you!
I have admired hi$ exqui$ite $teel $kills, $ilently & re$pectfully and from a $afe di$tance....might $omeday own one ,if he $tart$ $elling off hi$ 'blem$' or 'reject$' @ 50% off. ;)

All you gotta do,KFU,is:

(1.) widen the sheepsfoot blade from the folder picture you emailed me,
(2.) [ make it outrageously, really wide ] [ so the blade is tall enough to grip & 'choke up' on ]
(3.) bring it down hard to the sharp edge,( hard-use WharnieSheepies don't need no steeenking POINT  ),
(4.) keep the top edge of the 1095 squared off (to beat on; for firestarters, etc.)
(5.) make sure the sharp part is under 3" long, and
(6.) put it onto your EDC forward-swell handle....with no other changes!!!

<<<< If I do the most pegging & bleading here,can I buy the first one? :o >>>>

And at least one will go to Hungary, because sveqs will absolutely cave in and buy one! He is a sick man,but knows great knives when he sees 'em.

And tower2 will also....simply because 'most all his knives fold in the middle, and wear markings like '-18' and '-24' and end in '-rerer or '-benza' or '-umyuamum' and though he likes really shiny blades,if he sees me & sveqs gloating over ours,he's a goner!

And Biker Trash will buy one...he'll want one 'blackened',to match his motorcycle. And he's the one who urged me to: "Go with the Red Mallee Burl." (Thanx,Biker Trash! You were right.)

Although I'm not an artist,KFU,nor am I psychic, but I gotta predict: your days of making a tiny batch (one -to-four knives) to sell....is over!

that was like phone sex, just dirtier...
you read my mind, Gnarly. I'd go 2.5, maybe even 2.25 rather than 3 but that's just me - long handle, short blade.
Like Tower2 sketched it out ;-)))
