My First Becker (BK5)

Bk5 as your first Becker? A man after my own heart. I love love love the bk5. Although with all these new beckers coming out I don't get to use her as much. It awesome right? Like a light saber and the wild west in one package. Welcome. Your good in my book
 
That looks really nice. I have been kicking around getting a 5. The thought of a 15 piggybacked with a 5 is probably the same feeling the inventor of PB&J felt.

That came out really great, I'm feeling the patina!

Thrill ur not the only one without a 5. The warden said I can get one (a 5 or a 15..i know..get both) after I change the kitchen cabinets.
 
Congrats, very nice 5!

I just stripped mine and forced a patina with white vinegar, it came out OK.

I've used apple cider vinegar in the past (just at room temp) and I like the results better. Thinking I may try doing that again.
 
That turned out gorgeous. It almost looks like gun blueing that has started to fade with use. Very cool.
 
I love that 5, Grybsh. Great first mod. Looks good. The edge is nice and shiny. I'll bet that thing is SHARP.
 
Thanks for the comments guys. I've been thinking about getting another Becker and experimenting with different patinas.
