My First Benchmade

I kinna find my 530 a bit hard to flick,I have to use my thumbnail lol.
Anyway would a mini grip stud fit the said knife.
And would bkc send you one even if it was for different model?
I have no problem flicking the mini grips I have but the 530 studs are just to small.
Any advice would be awesome .
Cheers
Folks

I called Benchmade Customer Service and the person I spoke with said the thumb studs for the Griptilian are the same size as those on the 940. He's going to ask some of the other techs there and get back to me if he finds more information.
Yeah they didn't know what they were talking about. That tends to be the case sometimes when you call. I just compared the thumbstuds on the griptilian and the 940 right now and the griptilian are definitely longer. I knew that but just in case I was losing my mind.
Edit: Just saw Jimmy's response.

IMG_2387.JPG IMG_2408.JPG Congrats Chariotz!! Nothing not to like about the 940!! The perfect EDC blade and super sexy too!!
Couple of pics of my 94x's!! Love the model so much, one is not enough!!

Thanks to all your awesome (and jealousy inducing) photos, I already feel myself slipping down the Benchmade 940/943 rabbit hole...
Sometimes I have to force myself to carry something else. I'm thinking my new GB2 might ease the burden of my 940s a bit.

Think I will try those larger studs on my 940-1

Oh and about that rabbit hole thing......say hi to Alice for me.:)

It's still new to me, so I haven't been carrying mine to work (I work in a lumber mill and a lumber yard so it would quickly have a bunch of sawdust in the pivot area and between the handles), just out and about, so I haven't had to worry about that too much.

And I'll definitely let her know I could have some company! ;)

IMG_1908.jpg My first Benchmade purchase was a used Auto Presidio bought off a military guy. I carried it every day at work for a few years. It's the knife that actually got me back into the knife hobby. I just put it up for sale and I'm hoping it will go to someone who will continue to use it well.

I had a 940, gifted it to a friend when I got the 940-1. Love it in S90V.
Wish the 943 would get some upgrades from BM.

My first BM was also my first AO, the 790 Subrosa. Still carry it on occasion, nice and light for the blade length.

My first Benchmade purchase was the 3551 Pardue Stimulus. It was so well executed that I bought the 940-1, which is yet another level of knife making. There are 4-5 other Benchmade that I plan on buying in the next couple of months. Shucks.

Some of you guys may have seen the thread I made a few days/a week ago asking for some opinions on my next knife purchase after recently acquiring an awesome ZT 0452CF and then a beautiful BM 940. I really wanted a PM2 (specifically the Dark Blue with S110V) to round out my purchases this year so I could at last own a folder from the "Big 3" knife makers.

Well, after waiting a week I finally went to buy the knife this morning; however, by the time I was ready to confirm my order, shipping and tax had added another ~$40 to the bill. This gave me some pause, so I looked around before confirming my order to see if there was anything else that I might want in its stead. To my delightful surprise, I found another brilliant knife made by none other than - you guessed it - Benchmade. It was on sale for about 30% off and given that it's not being produced any longer, I thought to myself "I'd better snap it up while they're still available!"

So thanks to a snap judgement and a quick decision reversal, In the next little while, I should be the proud owner of a brand new Benchmade 710 McHenry & Williams!
