My first BK ever in life!!

Aiming for a different thread, missed, and hit an innocent bystander...

I need to get some more H&R/NEF single shots. Picked of a synthetic handi-rifle in .45-70 almost 8 years ago and it's pretty sweet and then scored a .243 with scope probably 7 years ago. Would like to get a .44 mag and shorten the barrel to 16" maybe get a 12ga barrel fitted for the same frame. Shame they can't put rimfire barrels on centerfire frames. Maybe I'll try a Rossi so I can get a .22lr barrel too.

Cross-thread mishap, intentional thread-jack, or musing tangent?

Good story though! Had a plot AND a wicked ending

Thats my favorite blade i own..now you need the remora for it and you are set! Great buy and goid choice for your first Becker!

No love for the 5 and 15? Trailing point looks ssoooo menacing!!!!

By the way, my first was a 9. Its true what they say, you always love your first the most...

Just got my 5, really love it... Looking for to getting a 15 or a 7 next, eventually I would like to try a BK12.

Wait. You're telling me you held a BK9 and bought something else instead?!? You're doing it wrong. You need a BK9. You can't not have a 9. I don't know what it is with you kids these days and not having BK9's. I think it's all that VH1 rotting your brains or something. Back in my day we didn't dare go around not having a BK9.

I don't understand how you can put down a BK9....
It's my first Becker and the best choice I've ever made blade wise.
Once you hold one...you have to have one.
I went to the last page and have seen he still does not have a BK9.
It's like he doesn't enjoy life, and enjoys being 78% more likely to be attacked by a rogue gorilla.

...and unable to defend against said gorilla. BK9, the gorilla killa.

STOP USING your BK7 IMMEDIATELY! If you scuff it up too much, you won't be able to trade it in toward a BK10. You'll still ending up getting another BK7 eventually when time and finances allow (after the BK16 and BK9, of course), but you NEED a BK10 now.

Can't say I agree in the case of Beckers. The 2 was my first. Then the addiction set in and the 2 was followed by a 16, 9, 7, 10, 15, 13 and (just arrived) 5. I didn't plan to order a 5 since I didn't see much use for it based on my needs, but I saw a post on the forum saying they would be going out of production, so of course I ordered one (without checking to see if they actually WERE going out of production soon in case it wasn't true). ;)

Of all, the 10 is my current favorite. YMMV, of course.

1. Why would anyone get rid of a 7?
2. Sure you need a 10 but...
3. You can't not have a BK9. The 9 comes first. Before other knives, before food, even before beer. It's that important.

Love my Ten, which is my one and only so far (bk14 on the way). I can't think of a more versital blade. Gave my Seal Pup Elite to my cousin when I got my Bk10. And had I known about Beckers a year ago, I know I'd be a 9 owner as well instead of my Condor Dundee Bowie.

I can't believe you guys are putting off buying a BK9!
I can not make sense of this nonesense!

1. Why to get a 10 faster, of course.
2. Agree!
3. I got my 9 before I got my 10, so maybe that is clouding my sense of urgency about the need to get a 9...
