welcome! nice first choice. I still don't have a 7, but I hear good things about them.
I need to get some more H&R/NEF single shots. Picked of a synthetic handi-rifle in .45-70 almost 8 years ago and it's pretty sweet and then scored a .243 with scope probably 7 years ago. Would like to get a .44 mag and shorten the barrel to 16" maybe get a 12ga barrel fitted for the same frame. Shame they can't put rimfire barrels on centerfire frames. Maybe I'll try a Rossi so I can get a .22lr barrel too.

Cross-thread mishap, intentional thread-jack, or musing tangent?
Wait. You're telling me you held a BK9 and bought something else instead?!? You're doing it wrong. You need a BK9. You can't not have a 9. I don't know what it is with you kids these days and not having BK9's. I think it's all that VH1 rotting your brains or something. Back in my day we didn't dare go around not having a BK9.
I don't understand how you can put down a BK9....
It's my first Becker and the best choice I've ever made blade wise.
Once you hold one...you have to have one.
I went to the last page and have seen he still does not have a BK9.
It's like he doesn't enjoy life, and enjoys being 78% more likely to be attacked by a rogue gorilla.
No love for the 5 and 15? Trailing point looks ssoooo menacing!!!!
By the way, my first was a 9. Its true what they say, you always love your first the most...
STOP USING your BK7 IMMEDIATELY! If you scuff it up too much, you won't be able to trade it in toward a BK10. You'll still ending up getting another BK7 eventually when time and finances allow (after the BK16 and BK9, of course), but you NEED a BK10 now.

1. Why would anyone get rid of a 7?
2. Sure you need a 10 but...
3. You can't not have a BK9. The 9 comes first. Before other knives, before food, even before beer. It's that important.
