I got it, I got it!
Yesterday UPS dropped it off at a neighbors house 1 block away, I had to work till 9 pm and didn't feel comfortable calling them that late. I don't know these neighbors (not even their names), but they talked to my son twice last night on the phone. He was visiting a friends house close by their house so I asked him to stop tonight on his way home...

He had a box with him when he arrived home...

The new BK2!

The initial thought was... this thing is 100% Angus!

I love the sticker!

Then my Son said "will it cut cardboard?" :)
He was fondling the knife and about to cut the shipping box into tinder when I caught him and said.... "gotta take pictures for the Beckerheads!"

The way this thing feels in my hand says "use me like you've never used another blade"
The scales fit the tang way, way better than I thought they would.
The knife snaps into the sheath with a positive knock and looks ready to abuse.
I am a leather sheath fan, something about warm, worn leather just speaks to me, so I will have to acquire a leather sheath, however, I am impressed, I am very impressed, I've drank the black kool-aid and snorted the black powder, I am all in.

Tomorrow a walk in the woods with my Son and my Beckers. I will be giving him his first folder to whittle on his walking stick. I can't wait!

Oh yeah, you're going to be happy with that baby.

The seven has to be next...

Another Becker sometime soon, but the money train is heading for youth turkey hunting next weekend, gonna have to wait a day or two for the next Becker order.

Thanks.

I did not realize they were in Olean until I saw your photos!!!!

I gotta go visit.... I am in Buffalo

Sounds like a good reason for a cold call,
Umm can I tour your facility? What! you make Beckers, can I see a couple of those BK2's, ummm those are nice ya got any 9's around here? You don't happen to have an oak 2x4 I can chop to test these do ya? What? you test them on steel pipes...! ;)

ahhh...ok...google "Ian Hunter".........singer from a 70's rock band..........I feel old all of a sudden.........lol

:) :) OK, don't feel too old, once I looked it up I noticed a few of his songs (once bitten twice shy for sure). I'm really not good with groups/names/volcalists. Too much Beer in Highschool if there is such a thing...

yeah...I had a similar problem in high school....and in college.......and after college........and........oh.....this sounds chronic

oh...btw...I love the look of that knife.......I ama neophyte knife person.......I have five spyderco/byrd folders and I am presently looking for a fixed blade to use in the backyard, just for general use, mostly to shave kindling off of dried logs for my firepit

I've gotta tell you then, I love my knives, but all I had up until a month ago was hunting knives and pocket knives... I bought a BK11 and 3 days later ordered the BK2. These fixed blades are very addicting!

You might as well just go ahead and get yourself a BK2 then. You will sooner or later anyway, and when you do, it'll make whatever you bought first completely obsolete. Plus, the Beckers are probably less money than whatever else you're considering, assuming you're considering mid to upper level quality. Just get it out of the way now. :D

Congrats on the acquisition iahunter. Now go put some scuff marks on that puppy!

Blues

The marks will be there tomorrow. Just got done adding loctite to the bolts through the scales. Congrats on the Beckerhead # Blues.

Thanks for the pics! I've been looking at getting a BK-2 for a while but have been on the fence because of the 1/4" thickness(had an RC-5 and sold it). I know it gets great reviews and all but I think I need to find somewhere to handle one first I think before I pull the trigger. Unfortunately the closest knife shop(1 1/2 hours away) says there outta' stock. :( But I keep seeing all these great pics and reviews and I'm getting closer to falling off that fence! haha
