I know some of you have a lot of them, but this is my first. I’m just pleased and proud as punch. I’ve got to tell you it’s not just some POS, this is special. It really is nicely made and it sure feels good in my hand, I couldn’t stop playing with it. It’s really not for me though, I’m going to put it in a box and wrap it up real pretty and give it to my wife as a birthday present. I can’t wait to see the expression on her face when she opens it. If I can I hope to capture the moment in a photo, if I can I’ll post it here. That’s why I’m not going to describe it now, you’ll all just have to wait. I just wanted to share the moment with you all. Thanks for taking the time to read this. If anyone would like to share the experience of your first one, I sure would like to hear about it?

Hmmmmm....sounds like a serious set up to me......First BM.......I was pretty young and can't quite place it, but I'm sure we didn't box it up or wrap it up, but I'll check the closet and sniff around a bit for it....

OMIGOD!! Phil, say it isn't so. You got your wife a BenchMade instead of the Sebenza I suggested? Well, you are in deep doodoo, buddy! Better rent some of those movies we talked about, as you aren't going to have anything better to do for entertainment for a long while.

So, which BM is it? Walt

PhilL, you had me thinking Busse Battle Mistress!:0

"Honey, I brought home a mistress."

I'm sorry, I forgot, I must give credit where credit is due. A special thanks to David, for the inspiration to write this in the first place...you ROCK!

Tim, you're calling me "RUDE?" Y U mark or shallow hole made by a pointed instrument!

and for Pete's sake will you PLEASE open a window?

A BM instead of an overpriced production Sebenza?? Phil how could you?

You should have gotten a Sebenza and sent it to Tim for customizing. He'll do it for free. In fact I encourage everyone who owns a Sebenza to send it to Tim. If you do not own a Sebenza buy one just so you can send it to Tim. He's a has been knifemaker who cannot give the knives he makes away. This being the case he has a lot of free time.

I know what it looks like, I know what it looks like; the knife that is not the other "stuff" some of you are suggesting.

I'll put something up tomorrow. I want to scan it while she isn't around. Be patient, you'll see it before she does. Okay?

Phil, you've been waiting for that little BM like an expectant father, whatcha gonna name it?

Jake, I heard he was going with the name Groucho Jr.

Walt,

He calls it the POS. He hates sebenzas which is why I sent him mine. You should send him your sebenzas too. I'm sure he will enjoy working on all of them.

PhilL:

Well, congratulation on your new purchase. You are a better man than I. If I were to by my wife(no im not married yet) a Benchmade there is a very low chance it would ever get to her

I hope she likes it, what model did you get ?

Dark Nemesis

p.s. - I dont name my knives either

All the knives in the world go round and round, round and round, round and round...DAMN, one of them took my wallet !!! :)

Okay Kiddies! Here she is...SssssH, you're getting a look before my wife. It's a Benchmade Mel Pardue 330-pearl. Here's a quickie review. I bought it from Mark at MJ&S Knives (great guy to deal with) the grind looks even to my eye, it was sharp out of the box, I did loosen up the pivot a bit, and the lock is a little stiff. I hope she likes it and most of all I hope she doesn't break a finger nail, because knowing my wife if she does she'll either throw it away or never touch it again. This is just a scan. I'd love to start photographing my knives on 35mm slide film, but I'm looking for the best way to scan them?

So PhilL, you weren't kiddin', nice one!

The link needs to have the other bracket added so it shows up, but I'm sure you'll have gotten to that by the time I'm done typing!

The best way is probably to order a Kodak 'Picture-CD' (or 'Photo CD,' I'm not sure which, 'cause people answer to either) with your developing.
