My First Buck

Thanks again Everyone...!!!!!

jb4570.......Thanks for the tip, I'll give that a try.

skyhorse....Thank you, it is quite Beautiful, it really "POP's" in
the sunlight, and I'll watch the fuel line, this thing is razor sharp!

Iron City........I didn't realize it even did that, now I see it does. Cool
tip!!! Thanks my Friend.

Nathan Ihrke........Thank's for that tip too. I've never been in Outlaw,
but I've always heard Great things about them. I'm a bit of a Cigar
smoker too, so that would just go hand in hand!!!!

Thanks again one and all, you make this really enjoyable.
I stopped by work today and showed one of the guys my new Buck.
We are always messing around with our knives. He was definitely impressed
with it's sharpness, and when I handed it to him to see how it fit in his hand
he got a big smile on his face. I think we have another new Buck 110
owner in the fold. He's getting ready to head back to Iraq in about another
6 weeks, so I think I'm going to buy him a 110 before he leaves and give it
to him. You gotta help support the Good Guys!!!

Regards Sonny

Congrats, Sonny. My first Buck was also a 110....about 35 years ago.

Haven't been without one since. :D

Congrats on your new 110, Sonny! Buck in general and the 110 in particular are truly icons of the knife world. May you get many years of enjoyment with your Buck knives.

I bought the classic 110 way back in 1977 in a thrift shop located in Subic Bay, Philippines. It must have been sold by one of the American sailors stationed in the naval station there. The brand is literally unknown in our country then but I clearly saw the made in 'USA' and gut instinct told me it was a quality knife. I instantly fell in love with its fine craftsmanship, feel and balance so seldom found in production knives. Soon we were inseperable. It has been a constant companion in my hunting trips and all outdoor activities. I even bring it to international convention I attend when things werent so strict at airports. But my luck ran out when I lost it as it must have slipped through my backpack during a trip. I was totally devastated. I always try to buy one when I go to the US (Big 5 outlets, Walmart, Sears etc) but sadly just like Sonny D's experience they are hard to find. Sales persons who are young and mostly in their 20's have not heard or know the model. Currently my fair collection of knives will always be incomplete without the classic Buck 110.

Hey Sonny, you got to look at it on the bright side..
Atleast you get to spend godd times on your Harley Davidson Sportster, and explore all the knifeshops in your area, LOL....
But I have to say it`s strange they don`t carry the 110 in their inventory..
Up here in Norway it`s almost impossible to get any other than the new models, so I had to go online and ordered my 384 from www.knifecenter.com....
The 110 is coming real soon..... But I sure love my 384 too....just like one my grandfather used to carry when I was a small boy..
Good luck in your search for more Bucks, and enjoy the experience...

Thanks Bobber. It's kind of interesting here anymore. There used to be
quite a few Knife shops around, that just sold cutting tools. It's very
hard to find any lately. Almost all have gone under and closed up. I think
there is really only one in my area, and that's really quite a big area.
They sell all kinds of Martial arts stuff, and carry quite a few brands of
knives. It's definitely not like the good old days.
Yeah, at least when I'm knife hunting I can ride my bike.....I'm usually driving around looking for stuff that has to be hauled in the 4 wheeler,LOL.

Thank you too tondee.
Regards Sonny
