My first Busse...first of many guaranteed.

A couple of months ago I had the pleasure of playing with my friends Busse choppers and I quickly learned I had to get my own.

I picked this up about six weeks ago.

I used it in my first ever chop in and I was very pleased.

I etched the logo, stripped her down and hit it with a Scotch Brite wheel. I couldn't be more happy.

Nice! I love the way those look stripped- how long did it take?

Nice knife! Have you swiched the handles of? I wonder what the stripper does with the handle material?!
Do you use some chemicals?

Wow that's a good job of stripping it, I'm a bit jealous I have always wanted an FBM.
 
Fyi stripper does not effect micarta or res c in any way. If it marks the micarta it will come off with soap and water.
 
Looks very good, the CGFBM is my all time favorite Busse.

The handles are original. I used Klean-Strip KS-3 premium stripper and it did not affect the handles at all.

Thanks. It isn't difficult at all. I used Radio Shack PCB etchant solution. All you have to do is build a damn around what you want to etch with some painters tape and put the etchant on. I let mine set for about nine hours. The longer you let it set the deeper it will be. Just make sure it doesn't leak through because you definitely don't want the etchant on any other bare metal part of the knife. I think my daughter and I checked it about every half hour. OK, I was checking it and she was tagging along and rolling her eyes lol.
