I have owned 2 Scrapyards, and still have my Scrapper6 LE, and think that it is one tough mother, today at a local gun and knife show, I found this Busse on a guys table. I won't tell you what I paid, I would like to hear if I did get a good deal though, so your knowledge about the different models and there values is really why I'm here. I guess I could go to other forums and search to see the actual model, but I know you guys will know right away, so I hope you don't mind. I really don't know what it is, as far as what model, I think that it is a Battle Mistress Satin Spine, or something. Please help me guys, I really would like to know a ballpark value, something moderate to fair. And of course, what exact model, it has no markings and looks like someone cut cardboard or something in one spot on the finish, it has no signs of ever being sharpened after it left the factory. It's sheath is nylon with a plastic or kydex insert and a pouch with an elastic area at the top to retain whatever small tool you would put in it.
Thanks in advance, Gene

It is a SHBM (Straight-handled Battle Mistress). If you got it for less than $500, you did really, really well. If you paid somewhat more, you still did fine. If you paid a lot more, wait a while and it's value will catch up.

If you paid a lot less, it's probably a cheap copy. Because I'm such a humanitarian, I will take it for what you gave for it just to help you avoid embarrassment. I'll even eat the shipping.

GKN,

That is a "Straight Handled Battle Mistress", SHBM for short.
If you're happy with it then it really doesn't matter what you paid.
A couple SHBM's have sold on the exchange recently so search there.
Congrats on a nice find now send it to me. :D

dave

too slow again, why do I even bother:confused:

Wow, 5 minutes and you guys are all over me....thanks, for the model, I did really, really well. I guess I have to finally stop saying I can't afford a Busse now huh? Oh, is this thing INFI?

All SHBM's are INFI

Don't listen to any of them, trust me- it is a piece of junk! Send it to me, i'll only charge you $40 to properly dispose of it... If you value your reputation, you won't want to be seen with that "butter knife."
