If it just needs sharpening, the Busse shop will do that for free. So call them first. Ban can put an amazing polished convexed edge on it, but that will void the warranty.

or, just sell it to me!

So the work I did to my NMFBM in post 13 just voided the warranty ? I'm almost positive a convexed edge and polished blade is not a problem.

You got it. Hand work is OK, power tools can be a problem w.r.t. the warranty. That is what Ban would tell you, as well.

i never found the fusion handles particularly comfortable. my palm would get sore from the spine after chopping.

for the larger busses, i prefer the sf or sh models. i had a hhfsh and a couple fbm's, and ended up selling/trading them, just didnt fit me well.

but they were both great for chopping.
