Just got it in the mail today. I wanted a working blade not a collector so I looked for a used one and got it for a deal I believe, 340.00 in the door for everything, so I am happy.

That's a great deal! Welcome to your new addiction! Now go beat on that thing and post some used pics :)

That is a great price for that BWM and sheath. I wish I never sold mine.

Congrats

Small world...lived in Roseburg in the early 90's. Made some good friends there, used to go up into the Callahans a lot.
I have full intentions of testing it out on some work I got. Pic's will come.

Great deal on that, especially with the nice sheath included. Looks like a mashed cat sheath with the dangler and the leg strap. So the sheath alone would cost you something like 70+ new.

You got a screaming deal, in my estimation.

Lucky! and Welcome to the club!

Welcome to the madness! A mistress is a great entry into the Busse world. You'll enjoy every single chop and slice!

I was lucky indeed. It is a Mashed Cat sheath. When I saw the sheath with the extra accessories on it I estimated that alone would have been approx $90.00 shipped that I would have gotten anyway. The shipping was advertised at $15.00 but the postage was actually $24.00 on the box. With that I figure the blade itself was only $226.00.
There were a lot of choices up for auction, most were new and looked really nice. I am happy with what I have and probably won't be as lucky next time.

Thanks for the welcoming guys.

Congrats and welcome. It's your first...but won't be your last:thumbup:

when I got my first Busse it was a user too, makes it real easy to use it and not hold back! lol congrats

My brand new BWM with sheath and shipping and all the fees ran me $400. This one looks like it was just used once and not too bad. I don't see any of the coating rubbed off. The BWM was my first large Busse knife. After using it for a while I bought a NMFBM for the thicker logs. All you need to sharpen the BWM is to strop it on 1000 grit sand paper and a leather strop with compound. The BWM will keep a sharp edge. I think this is the perfect camp knife accompanied by a small EDC.
