My first Busse

My brand new BWM with sheath and shipping and all the fees ran me $400. This one looks like it was just used once and not too bad. I don't see any of the coating rubbed off. The BWM was my first large Busse knife. After using it for a while I bought a NMFBM for the thicker logs. All you need to sharpen the BWM is to strop it on 1000 grit sand paper and a leather strop with compound. The BWM will keep a sharp edge. I think this is the perfect camp knife accompanied by a small EDC.

I was originally looking for a NMFBM but when I compared the relative prices between those and the potential sale price of the one I ended up with I focused on the latter. I would like to get a NMFBM later though. I will be testing mine out on some brush and trees here on the property for our firepit just to see what I can do with it. It was purchased for an all around camp tool for backpack camping and "drive to" camping. I prefer primitive and wilderness camping myself over crowded, over regulated, popular camping areas. The wife likes the latter though so we go there too. I have carried my Marble's belt axe along with my Cold Steel Voyager EDC in the past. The Busse may replace the Marble's or at the very least go along too.
Thanks for the tip on keeping the Busse sharp.
