My First Canoe (wont be the last)

Those Queen Cozy Glens always catch my eye. Bit like hen's teeth though, really difficult to find.
Yobbos' Canoe has a very reasonable looking secondary blade, sometimes on this pattern they can be a bit underdone, no this one though. The overal finish looks impressive too.

As much as I hate to admit it I've been incredibly impressed with the new imported Kissing Kranes and find the quality to just as good if not better than Rough Rider also if you like high value imported slipjoints take a look of some of the newer knives imported by Marbles.

I have about 10 RRs now (and like them very much for what they are) and only 2 Kissing Cranes but so far the quality of the KCs is leaps and bounds ahead of the RRs. The KC toothpick has very nice rams horn scales and the canoe has stag whereas the RRs are all bone (some done better than others) you will pay a little more for the Kissing Cranes but the cost certainly seems worth it to me.

I'm a convert from RR...I have gotten a few in I wasn't pleased with the fit on the scales, the walk and talk on the blades has always been good with almost no light coming through and some none at all but when my KC comes in if its as good as your pics show them to be I'm sold and will slow down on the RR's.

Have you sharpened yours yet? how do they feel on the stone forming a solid edge?

What i like about the Queen in D2 is the balance of the two blades
the main spear is very stout and will take hard work
the secondary pen is very thin and handles fine work

Well, yobbos... I have, til now, only one Canoe. It´s a Carl Schlieper in Carbonsteel. I really like that knive, but a little bit bulky and not good to carry in the coinpocket of a jeans. But carrying it in a jacket, that´s a very good EDC.

Kind regards..

Great catch. Canoes, expecially Queen IMO, are extremely addictive.
Later you will appreciate the small barlows...
:D
