I really love this little knife . There has been some discussion on my sailboat forums about needing a ceramic knife to cut new hi tech line (Dyneema) . I don't have any of that stuff on my boat as it is a old traditional type boat . I do have modern double braid , and it is not that easy to cut either . So I tried cutting some double braid , I couldn't believe how easy the knife cut through . I'm not getting rid of my Ka-Bar or my Myerchin , but I do like this ceramic .

Here is where I got it and all the specs .

I'm curious if that too. Not sure of the all the pros and cons of ceramic. I use to have a boker anti mc and loved it though. Didn't have it long enough to form a strong opinion about.

For those types of Hi tech line would a serrated edge be better than smooth ?

also check out some of the titanium knives with carbides maybe.
still, a very cool and nice knife. aren't you afraid that the lock my chip the blade? anyways really great knife.

as for dyneema, i can't say for ropes, but on bowstrings it isn't much of a hassle... at least not much more than other modern materials, then again i always use a razor/razor sharp knife for the cutting, so you might be on the right track.

Serrated H1 Tasman salt is the best rust free line cutting knife there is.
