Just got off the phone with Heather(?) and I must say I'm little nervous as to what this will turn out to be.
According to their website, I should get a response via phone or e-mail when my knife arrives but got neither.
She told me it arrived there on the 13th and they sent me an e-mail but nope, nothing in the spam section either.
I'm guessing they misspelled my e-mail or something...but I printed letter by letter in capital on purpose to avoid just that.
Anyhow, it doesn't really matter as long as my reg. Sebenza gets refurbished.
Bought it from the fourth (as far as I can track) owner here on BF.
What I'm truly worried about is if for any reason, they refuse to work on my reg. Sebenza.
The slabs have been smoothed out from their regular blasted finish. I guess mildly scotch-brited but not to the point where it lightened the color.
The main reason I sent it in was the wear on lock bar which caused grittiness when disengaging it from the blade tang.
Looks similar to Tagir's image few threads down.

Does anybody know if this can be fixed by CRK? Would they conclude it as an abused knife and send it back?
The damaged area sticks upward a little and is scratching the hell out of the blade tang when disengaging from the blade tang.
I've been wanting a reg. Sebenza for a long time (like many other) and snatched it up when the post came up...not knowing it had such lock face.
And honestly, I think this knife still has a long life ahead even like it is.
I highly doubt my reg. Sebenza is covered under warranty and am willing to pay for incurring charges.
I just want the knife back in its working condition so I can enjoy the simple mechanism of folding and opening which makes a lot of people happy.
I'll keep this post updated as progession is made.
If you guys have any experience with spa treatment, please share.
Thanks!
