CRK was never on my radar but recently I had an offer to get one so I went for it. I got an Inkosi and what a cool little knife it is. The blade reminds me of a Ritter grip. The fit and finish is great and I like the oversized pivot and stop pin. The angled clip is a nice touch as well. This sucker is tight though. I'm used to flippers and flickers but I do like the slow deployment. Hopefully it will loosen over time.

With a 3" XM18 and I thought the XM was small

My own lanyard/bead

With a tasty brew

Congrats. I'll be interested to see if it beats your XM out for EDC use.

Then I guess it will. Since I started using CRKs I can't bring myself to carry my other nice knives. I hope you'll enjoy yours as much as the rest of us do.

Congratulations! I just ordered an Inkosi from TNK - silver version- yesterday, I can't wait for it to get here.

If your knife is too tight then you probably just have to loosen the pivot a little. All of my CRK's come with different tensions but I always adjust it to where it feels best to me. Welcome to the family!

Don't worry. Its going to work in. My Inkosi is smoother then any of my other CRK's. It just took lots of opening and closing. Now if I push the lock bar the blade falls of its own weight. Its a great knife.

It was actually to lose, the blade favored the show side big time. I tightened the pivot a bit now blade sits dead center.

I've been at it all day my thumb is getting sore

Congratulations. If I remember correctly Ritter designed his knife with the Sebenza in mind. He personally owned a large regular( Equipped to Survive), and wanted something to offer on the lower price end.

Enjoy your inkosi, if it's too stiff, and somehow off center when you loosen it a tiny bit, it might have a pinched washer from previous improper assembly, and if so it would be best to return to CRK for a tune. It should be dead center, and close to falling or falling under its own weight with the lock bar pushed open brand new out of the box.

Otherwise, enjoy!

Interesting. I see the blade shape resemblance in my Ritter

Ahh it's breaking in 😀 I'm liking this little knife.

Bad linky

Congrats anyway!

Really?

My 'Zaan has never done that, even with the lock disengaged (detent off of the tang). I know they're different knives, but I believe the pivot assembly is the same. The action on mine feels the same as it did brand new. Now my 21, on the other hand, resembles closer to what you describe.

I'm not saying you're wrong, it's just that my 'Zaan has pretty stiff (but smooth and "hydraulic") action no matter how I adjust the pivot.

Yeah I can't see this thing falling closed on its own weight. I'm cool with it though, I kind of like the slow deployment.

Well the pivot cannot come so loose that the blade is falling out but in the assembly but it shouldn't be too tight either. Maybe we are just using pretty stiff in different ways. It's also possible it has not broken in yet. How many times have you opened it?

My first 25 got to the point there was blade play I wore the washers down so far. All my 25s are set so that the blade will just free fall. When they wear in which usually happens in the first few days the blade easily falls from a 45 degree.
