Well the pivot cannot come so loose that the blade is falling out but in the assembly but it shouldn't be too tight either. Maybe we are just using pretty stiff in different ways. It's also possible it has not broken in yet. How many times have you opened it?

It's definately broken in, and has probably been opened thousands of times and used quite a bit. I even got it directly from Idaho, not a dealer. I actually like how it feels.

My first 25 got to the point there was blade play I wore the washers down so far. All my 25s are set so that the blade will just free fall. When they wear in which usually happens in the first few days the blade easily falls from a 45 degree.

It's odd, because that's exactly how my 21 is
