My first custom scales! Kershaw Thermite.

Got this glorious idea to try and make a knife scale out of G-10 from another thread..... It's created a monster!

This thead was created before I bought an account and now I have a sale thread. Lets keep this thread to discussion only. Any questions about the process let me know.

Orange 1/8 G-10
All cut with a X6-1500GT CNC and a 1mm endmill
Designed in Google Sketchup
Meshcam for CNC paths and Mach3 running the machine.

Going to try and run one of these today!

Nicely done! Impressive. You might want to round the edges just a bit to make it a more comfortable grip, but I like your work!

I have a beveling bit coming for my CNC. Might pick up a rounding bit as well.

Beautiful work!!! That's a really nice machine you have too! If you need any tips or tricks I'd be glad to help out.

Here's one tip... but you may already know about this guy... just in case you don't... look at drillman1 on ebay has a store with great selection of micro/macro tooling bits with good pricing. I get 90% of my tooling from him...! Just GOOGLE drillman1 and he'll most likely be the #1 hit. I'd provide a link but it's against forum rules to direct link non-supports merchants.
