I just got this yesterday and I apologise for the poor picture. It's etched with "Alaskan Statehood 1959-1984" and a gold Grizzly. The tang stamp says 426 with no date stamp.

The orignal sales slip was in the box and is dated 11/20/85. It's serial numbered 055/250.

That is very nice Dave,
That Alaskan gold etch is one of my favorites. I know some of the other folks here have that one and the newer issue as well....334dave & I think Armand, can one or of you guys post your photo's? I don't remember them being DP blades!

Thanks, I'm pretty sure Armand has one, but I couldn't find the thread where he talked about it. I think there was a picture of his also. I don't know if it was the same as this one or not.

Well the good news from Larry is that we may have two 110 drops in the June Newsletter. A user and a collector. I'm very intrigued with that opportunity.
Hopefully Buck will agree and the Club can let out some hints!

Prediction: Collector will have S30V and lots of bells and whistles. The User is going to have 12C27M and Paperstone of some color.

here are both
the first has a total issue of 1000 in
two issues of one handle each of 250 each
and one issue of std handle of 500
the new one is one of 500 total
and is in the club records as a Kmart issue

This part I'm really confused about. Can you elaborate a little? What's the "one" handle and what's the "std" handle?

Thanks 334dave,

Very nice knives and great information! I learned that those 426 knives are DP.

Plumber, Thats a nice looking model, thanks for posting the pictures . What type handle material is it ? Looks like rose wood ?
Where is Bear Claw as he likes this model . DM

It could be Rosewood, I can't say with any certainty, but it is reddish brown. It's a very fine and straight grained wood and doesn't appear to be a laminate.

So the 426 was a Bucklite. What do I have then, a Bucklite with 110 handles or a 110 with a Bucklite blade? :D

Yes, a 1985 model would not have lanimated wood . This one is an Aurum etching and the Bear is of 22 kt. gold mfg. in Garland, TX. . I couldn't read it but there's someones initials on it of the person who did the work . Its a long shot but a chance a AW may be on it (Angie Williams). DM

Where do you see that (the AW)? There's no AW or any initials on mine and I don't see any on daves.

there was a issue of one color of 500
there was one issue of another color of 250
there was another issue of yet another color of 250
dont recall the colors
i have only one.. dont need all three with the same gold etch.
the 50 year seem so much like the 25 on the gold etching dont it..
it is so close but still a copy ,,, wander if AW allowed the copy ?
i had to have the 2ed as it was a clip point
IMHO if the blade fits a std 110 then it is a 110 version ..
no mater the number on it
the liner lock ...
now that kinda needed a different number on it
look at the paper stone
why is it a 110 and not a buck lite number like a 427?

Sometimes the person doing the etching put their initials on it . We had this topic sometime back . Angie Williams and her work was featured in a newsletter sometime back (Dec. 2006) and she started with Aurum in 1985 . So, I just thought, maybe . DM

Here's a close up of the blade.
