Hello Suspects! Yeah, I know there's a bunch of other threads on Mini Commanders, but this is my first one and all...
I'm at the end of the first day of Levels 1 and 2 of MBC, so my right forearm is sore and swollen, and I jammed my left thumb Friday morning in judo class. I'm SORE!
But I got home today and found a box waiting for me: my first Emerson: a satin blade, green handled Min-Com. It was as stiff (as I am right now) out of the box, so I loosened the pivot a bit and now I can manipulate it better. Waved a few times out of my pocket.
It's a 2002 model. I believe the number above the patent inscription is the serial number: 241. (Someone let me know if I'm wrong.)
The blade does come pretty close to one side of the liner when closed, but so far no rubbing. It seems the back spacer is made out of black G10. (Am I right?)
I'm too sore to give it much of a workout, but everything seems in order. The liner lock isn't my favorite, but it seems to be solidly in place on this one.
So far so good. I like it. I'd REALLY like one of those frame lock conversions, but that'll have to wait awhile!
Now to get off here, get ready for bed, and ice down & wrap this huge lump on my arm.
I foresee MAJOR PAIN tomorrow!
