• Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I hope that you all have something to be grateful for this year and for many years to come
  • America has reached 250 years, and I am grateful to be here, in the best country in the world. Thank every one of you who helps make this country a better place, those who have gone before and risked it all, and those who've paid the ultimate price to make the United States what we are today.

Happy Birthday America! Let Freedom Ring for all time!

My first GEC...first look

Thanks for the update, Fausto. Glad to hear that you didn't have too much trouble getting it sharp. Also glad to hear that you are taking well to the half stop. I would like to see some #66 patterns with 440C as well. Particularly the Calf Ropers.

It did take some work to get it sharp, but this time I think I just made the right steps since the beginning of the rebeveling (I have to say, without the help I got here on BF, my beautiful GEC would still be used to spread butter :D) so in the end I'm pretty happy.
I'd love to see GEC make their #66 patterns in 440C, both the Serpentine Jack and the Calf Roper...maybe someday we'll be lucky.
In the beginning, I thought I was the only one interested in seeing more GEC knives offered in 440C too.
Then I realized there's quite a bunch of us.
Then I got my elk #25...and now I know why I'm not alone.
Hopefully, someone at GEC will hear us.
Meanwhile, I'm ejoying my little elk friend :)

Fausto
