It came in today. What a nice kukri. It is the Chitlangi, a pointed, thick 15" kukri. It weighs about 18 oz with a 9.8" blade that is over 3/8" thick at the spine.
I know this is not one of the big heavy chopping kukris, but more of a weapon. Still, it felt like it might make a useful woods and camp knife. First a little machete work. The big handle fits my hand well.
It slashes right through the small stuff!
The little Chitlangi chops pretty well, too. Better than some "choppers" I've bought.
The thick blade is great for splitting wood.
I just love this wood handle.
This is a great camp knife for the money. It even has a steel and utililty knife in the sheath.
I love it! My first real kukri from Nepal!
