Hey folks,

Ignore my 2008 join date, I am basically new here. I have always been a fan of knives, cars, firearms, watches, and knives. Back when I joined in 08, I had just finished my enlistment in the Navy, and have been working everyday to make ends meet. I never had the time to really get into my hobbies and forgot I even had an account here, until I tried to sign up and got a message account already exists. Had to work long hours to support myself and my parents since they had health problems. Fast forward 10 years, I paid off my parent's house, my dad passed, and have a bit of money saved up . I figured I'd enjoy the fruits of my labor while I can, as I realized that life is short.

I started to do my research on YouTube, blade magazine, and then ran into this forum again. Saw a knife made by Miekal Zieba in an ad and decided to get it. For the last ten years, I carried a ZT 0300 TAD as my EDC. Got the Zieba in yesterday and I am really impressed. It's longer than my ZT but much lighter. Love the colors. I will be spending a lot of time here to learn about knife collecting and look forward to meeting everyone, as I begin to grow my collection. Hopefully I don't ask too many stupid questions lol. Here's a pic of my Zieba, model S5 Southern Star.

Nice - did it come in that protective case? What is the scale material?

Thank you for your service.

It was an honor to serve. I miss the brotherhood.

The handle is made of titanium, and the blade is M390 steel. I really like the shape of the blade and the blood groove. Here's a photo of the case it came in with.

That is one darn fine first high-end knife!

Congratulations, and enjoy it - sounds to me like you seriously deserve to have nice things.

That is a real beauty and very well earned, congratulations.

Were you a "Devil Doc"? God bless the Corpsmen, Semper Fi, sir.

Thanks for your service and good on you for keeping your priorities straight. I'd say you've earned it.

I'd rate it a 10 on the Telegance scale.
