I don't normally go around telling anyone it's my birthday but I'm making an exception here as I justify this "splurge" on myself. My daughter put it best when asking me what I wanted last night. She said I know what you're going to say, "I don't need anything so don't spend any of your money on me please."

In this case the timing just happened to coincide.

This is a very nice piece of American engineering and craftsmanship. Thank you Kahrp9p9 and Rick, Rob and team.

This is also my first all mobile photoshoot, upload and post.

Thanks all. Bday is 9/2...a little early. Another couple for no reason.

My wife noticed it and said, did you just get that off your desk? I said no. She then said, oh I put one on your desk, it went through the wash. ;-). Oops. It was an old Spyderco clipit.

I made the mistake of taking my Wife to a knife show. Now she knows how much they cost and when the shows are

What was I thinking...

Congrats!!!! What a GREAT Birthday Gift!!!!! My birthday is in November and I'm going to get myself something at NYCKS if I can get out there!!!!!! Great pics as well!!! Nice phone!

Daddy jewelry. I found a place to store it. My wife will NOT find out how much this cost. Meanwhile her Pandora bracelet can't fit any more bling on it.

And in a sky of blue...I actually painted this one. It's a mixed media piece I did for the wife.

Yes, a photo realistic representation on a sea of abstract sky with some flowers mixed in. Painting that stone wash was hard.

Awesome! Happy birthday and congrats! How are you liking the 3.5" vs 3 and the spanto vs slicer? I know you were looking for a 3" slicer...

Great pics, too by the way..

Seems like it's everyone's birthday, mine isn't until Dec so maybe I can reload the PP account by then for a custom....

This knife has changed my life: hotties are hitting on me at Target (darn, I'm married), I just won the Powerball, and hair I lost is growing back while the hair I don't want is leaving all by itself. How do they make this thing in Ohio? With Unobtainium? The knife just worked as a drywall trowel for this last skim coat I just put on my bulging seam at the house. Wow.

I'm digging it. Would still love to see a 3" slice up close..maybe for EDC. This 3.5" might be a little big/heavy for everyday. This might be what I use on the weekend....for doing mud and taping/chick magnet to boost my ego as I age.

Love this Spanto design on the blade, its something else. Tonight I want to find values on a couple to sell. An 80's Cold Steel tanto unused and a Carlson custom maybe. Then my PP might fill up. The profile on this Spanto blade isn't as thick as I thought it would be. I will do some slicing tests later tonight with various items of food: carrots, tomato, Belgian chocolate (kidding). Maybe I'll try taking skin off an apple if I'm ambitious.

And if I'm really ambitious ill make a peeling apple video to document it all and upload.

You're gonna need the Powerball, now that you have a taste you can't stop at just one - these things are like Doritos!

How's your arm hair? :eek::D

I thought the same when I got my first 3.5, then after having it a while I got the 3" I had on hold at a knife shop. The 3" seemed tiny by comparison, I find the 3.5" almost perfect (a proportioned 3.25" might just be a perfect size..........). The 3 makes for a nice, more subtle, EDC - of course just my opinion..
