My first HOGFSH !!!......WOW !!!!

What set up do you use to photograph?

My set up...hmmm, been a work in progress with feedback from our friends Crafft and Lunde.

Yesterday it was a black felt background then off-white paper placed on our kitchen table in front of our southern facing bay windows.

And with the grey overcast we have so frequently in the pacific northwest well, lets just say its mother natures softbox.

So no light beyond what came through the window !

I love that blade, I own the same one except with darker mags,,,,,,,it's a beast . Personally, I believe the grip to be perfect, something substancial to hold on to. Gr8 score of a gr8 blade ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, Congrats :thumbup::thumbup:

I couldn't agree more...in fact the first Busse I got with standard slabs was immediately sent out for mags !!!...way too skinny !!

I like those Black G-10s !!!

Peppercorn - re: posting images here in the forum from flickr:

I recommend you memorize the image tags and type them out in your posts. It's so much easier than clicky buttons:

  • Go to your picture on Flickr and click on an image you want to post
  • On the image page, click "all sizes" which is an option just above the photo
  • On the next page where it says "available sizes" click the one that fills up your screen (and then some)
  • Once you see the right size you want to post, scroll to the bottom of that page and you will see a URL for this particular picture. Copy that.
  • In your post here on the forums wrap that URL in the image tags.
  • Done!

So now I'm going to post an image (the large size on flickr) located at http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3594/3377294510_e000fe7c67_b.jpg:

This is what I was attempting to do last night !!!.....got really frustrated and ended up with the 'click here'....and felt lucky to get that far....

Thanks and I will try again !!

What Mikeykmoto says...

I wanted to do that with one of your pictures but only the original owner of the Flickr photo's gets the true url so that's why I got a "red x".

Wow! While the HOFSH is too large for my delicate lady hands, yours would be worth it just to look at! Very sweet score!

so I went to flickr coppied the url and pasted to "insert image' icon and still get red 'x'

PM inbound

Just saw this. GREAT photos and knife!!!

I would get photobucket. With photobucket you just scroll over the picture you want and it pops up with a bunch of links that automatically copy when you click them. The bottom link is the fourm link.

As simple as scroll over picture, click on the bottom link and press control v in your reply/post.

Hope this helps you:)

Not that I know of. There is a picture resolution max if you do not pay. That max size is 1024 x 680:

Peppercorn ,,,,,,,, the mags on my HOGFSH are actually blue / black G-Rex's ,,,,,,,,,,,,, not all black , they are just real dark. As a Hog once said 4 years ago,"Yeh, first they let you have a little hit of the SR101 at a show and it feels good, next your'e doin' a couple lines of D2 just for fun, then you find yourself tied off and banging a spoonful of proprietary steel as the INFI rolls through your veins and you can't stop. Now you sit there with your Tali-Whacker in your hand cruising the online auctions for more...longer...thicker...double cut one-of-a-kinds and rarities to make you feel like that first time. They won't help you quit, no, they just bring on more, finer, meaner, thicker stuff knowing you will eventually work up to it. Then after a while, to finance your addiction, you start selling a little of your stash then you're an enabler just like them. God bless 'em. Pure flat ground INFI is exploding in my brains and I've got to go lie down for a while with dreams of HOFSHs in my head. If the cops raid the place remember, you've never heard of me and don't forget to flush your stash."
