Here it is. Heat treated and cold blued.

5160 steel
OAL 7 7/8"
width 1 1/4"
thickness was 1/4", so, whatever it ground to.
Don't have weight yet, will weigh it tomorrow at work on our digital scale.

Looks like maybe it will become a PSK knife.

"Rainman got skills!" :D That looks great, skunk! Of course, now you have a great project for Mister Kydex Press! Isn't it amazing the things you can accomplish when you're avoiding the bow drill? ;)

That looks really good, nice work!

Did you do the Heat Treat?

Looks great:thumbup: put it through it's paces and let us know how you like it. IMO that is the best thing about making your own gear you can taylor it and fine tune it to do exactly what you want. Chris

Thanks Chris.
Yeah , already workin up oyher designs in my head. ;)

Where's the balance point? Does it hold an edge? Is it better at slicing paper or chopping kindling? C'mon man, inquiring minds want to know :)

Looking forward to seeing how you handle/wrap it, and the sheath you make for it. Helluva first knife, I must say!

OK, I'll take one.. How much?

OOPS.. Wrong section..

VERY NICE KNIFE!! I kinda like it natural, with no scales.. HOWEVER, some nice black paper micarta wouldn't be bad either!!

WOW!!! Thats your FIRST knife?? I am VERY impressed bro. Thats great work. NEVER let that one go. You'll look back at it and judge it again and again as you make progress. Its a very important benchmark for you.

Go out and cut with it. I wanna see some pics.

Have you thought of making your own mikarta scales. It would look mighty fine with blue jean scales. Not hard to do either! Do a search on user Ariel Silvierra. He does a lot of great mikarta tutorials here on BF.
