As a martial arts instructor with blade training, I agree. It is light, takes an amazing edge, and has a decent tip. The thing that helps in the woods is the way the handle and blade meet for various grips and the long mostly straight cutting surface. Of course this is just my opinion.

I'll try to dig up some pics of the bushcrafter.

I still have both knives....er, well my sons do...as well as some models that John doesn't make any more or were one offs. The top link is one that I won from him and the bottom is a copy cat of one he made for bearthedog, who has indeed influenced my choices several times, as he commented in the thread. My fav sheath too: simple, functional, and made to last.

Awesome knives. My personal belief is that the EWOK, Rockywolf's Choice, Pocket Scandi, and my son's EDCs are knives everyone should own.

I really love the EWOK i just cant get used to small fixed blades! That bushcrafter looks great! it does look very similar to a Hiker. I dont think John makes a knife that i dont like! i guess eventually, i must have one of each... or two.. :D
