Did Bill or Yangdu confirm? In that case congratulations. The larger guys really like the 18" WWII. Me, I'm on the smaller side.
The story of how the 18" WWII's came to be goes like this:
Bill wanted the kamis to put the dui chirra blade of the Hanuman on a standard handle the size of the WWII. Got that? Dui chirra blade, on a WWII handle. Simple huh?
What he got is now called the Hanuman Special, 18" OAL, blade between Sirupati and WWII, with Hanuman handle. Exquisite balance. We who grabbed one of the few specials urged him to stretch the WWII to 18 inches. Result was the WWII 18" that doesn't have ( to me at least ) the magic balance and feel of the HS. But the bigger guys like it, so more power to them. Fills in the gap between 18" Sirupati, and 18" AK for them. Being shorter, the 16.5" WWII is the great all around khuk for me.
In voices, the soprano has a place, but I pefer the second soprano and alto voices. Likewise tenors are nice, but I love to hear the second tenors and baritones. And a good bass is something else.
Some khuks sing to you. Sometimes high, sometimes low. All that sing are special. But a khuks that sing an alto like Toni Tennile, or the baritone from the Statler Bothers are extra special.
