I have been making this khukri knife for the last 3 months and have just about finished it. Ime still working at the ripe old age of 63 going on 64 and am only able to work on any project for about 45 mins a day. This is because I live in a flat and have no facilities to work from home. The blade is made from an old lorry leaf springs which I hardened and tempered.I have made the blade to resemble a 1940,s khukri with a mk1 handle which I had every intention on doing with the handle made from American cherry. The khukri has been tried and tested in my local wood with no marks left on the blade .here are some photo's.

Looks very nice. Leaf spring steel from a car or truck, how thick is the blade?

Oh sorry ,from a truck.i put it on Bernard levies forum but didnt get much of a response .it only been on there 2 days but was so exited on how it turned out I began to think maybe it wasn't as special as It is to me.

Well done stabman it dosn't take to much of a effort to keep a novice knife maker happy and it gives them incentive to try again to produce something better.cheers for that.
